1920's Inspired Glamour Look + NYX Cosmetics FACE Awards!!! Please vote!!!

I'm making a late submission to the NYX Cosmetics FACE Awards Contest! I love NYX products already, and I think this contest is an amazing opportunity for any aspiring makeup artist!

For my entry, I decided to go with what I love and went with a vintage inspired modernized 1920's look glamour look. I really love the over the top makeup women wore during the 20's and 30's and thought I could channel that for a glamorous, perfect for a party look that would work for women today. Please check out my video and don't forget to "like" it! Likes go towards my chances of moving to the next round!!!

And below is how I actually wore the look later that day.

Until next time! xoxo

Florence + The Machine - Music Video/Style Inspiration

So I haven't had a ton of time to update/shoot videos this month or last month with my move, but I wanted to do a quick post to celebrate the new music video for Florence + The Machine that was released this week, "Never Let Me Go".

I'm a huuuuge Florence Welch fan!! I love her music, her videos are a huge inspiration and I LOVE her style! I think she's gorgeous and I'm shamelessly trying to steal her hair style. (Sticking with red and trying my best not to cut it!!!)

I saw that the video was uploaded on Youtube last night and I was super bummed because it wasn't available for US viewings, so this morning I hunted it down and found it here: http://youtu.be/6us4sYsR34M

Her videos are all a tad bizarre, and half the time I don't know what the hell is going on, but they're all beautifully done and I get a lot of my inspiration for makeup and style from them. Can't wait to see more from her!

My favorite video below <3

Naked 2 & Smashbox BB Cream

So today was definitely a day of indulgence... I've really been wanting to try out a BB Cream and after some looking around at Sephora, I decided to go with the Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream - Fair.

I haven't had a lot of time to see how I feel about it, but first impressions are good! For the most part, I love how it looked against my skin. It was the perfect color for my skin tone, which is tough with how pale I am. I have some pretty red blemishes around my chin that it didn't cover well, but a little concealer over it helps, and I decided to go with the BB Cream to hopefully clear up my skin in the long run.

Even more exciting was finding Urban Decay's Naked 2 Palette in the store! I've been trying to get my hands on it online since it came out, but it was always out of stock, so I was incredibly excited to FINALLY get it in the store.

First impressions... I'm in love! The new colors are gorgeous, the pigmentation was great, and the packaging was a huge improvement from the first Naked Palette. I'm a die hard Urban Decay fan anyways, but if I wasn't a fan already, this palette would make me one!

The colors swatch on my hand from the palette, left to right: Foxy, Half Baked, Bootycall, Chopper, Tease...
 Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK...
Busted and Blackout.

Very excited about both buys, and I'll probably end up doing more in depth reviews in the future on them.
